Soils with a high percentage of clay, high foot traffic or pet use, will become compacted and build up a heavy thatch layer. This stresses the grass plants by preventing oxygen and nutrients from reaching the grass roots.

Core Aeration dramatically reduces soil compaction by removing one to three inch cores of soil from the ground. This allows oxygen to reach grass roots so water and fertilizer can be readily available for the plant. The holes left loosen the soil and allow the grass roots to spread and the result is a deeper root system and a healthier lawn.
